Do you want to discover the most beautiful villages and towns on the French Riviera?

The ones that make you dream?

Here is a selection of the most stunning places in the Alpes-Maritimes just for you

The Siagne Canal

Between sky and sea...

The Siagne Canal walk, stretching from the hills of Le Cannet to Cannes, is a 1.5 to 2-hour route covering between 3 and 6 km, depending on the chosen path, and is accessible all year round.

Today, the canal path is covered, but it is lined with Mediterranean vegetation such as eucalyptus, mimosas, and cork oaks.

At the Chichourliers promontory, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the Bay of Cannes, the Lérins Islands, the hills of Mougins and Grasse, and the Estérel Massif. All along the trail, between villas and trees, you’ll discover breathtaking views of the surrounding region.

Without even realizing it, you’ll reach the Cannes section known as the “Promenade du Belvédère.” You’ll pass beneath the old funicular and gradually arrive near the top of the Californie neighborhood, high above Super-Cannes, where an exceptional panorama of the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins Islands awaits.

How to get there: You have two options

    • On footfor the adventurous who aren’t afraid of a good climb:

Start directly from the apartment and head towards Rue Victor Hugo. Continue straight until

you reach Route des Bréguières — be prepared, it’s a steep ascent!

About 20 meters after a small roundabout, take the Canal de la Siagne trail on your right.

From there, simply follow the path for about 5.8 km. You’ll occasionally cross some roads, but

always stay on the main trail.

In total, it’s around 6.5 km to the Belvédère (or 13 km round trip), which should take

    approximately 3 hours on foot.

The Siagne Canal walk, stretching from the heights of Le Cannet down to Cannes, offers a route of about 1.5 to 2 hours, ranging from 3 to 7 km depending on the chosen itinerary, and is accessible year-round. Starting from old Le Cannet (Rue des Prés, Rue Saint-Sauveur), you ascend via stairways and a rural path to reach the canal trail. Though now covered, the canal is flanked by Mediterranean vegetation such as eucalyptus, mimosas, and cork oaks.

Several starting points are accessible by car, with small parking areas nearby. This will

    significantly reduce the walking distance.

The first recommended parking spot is located on Chemin Gavary. To get there, drive all the

way up Avenue Victoria, then turn right onto Chemin Savary.

You’ll quickly arrive at a small parking area.

Once parked, head right in the direction of Cannes and follow the trail to the Belvédère

(about 3.3 km). Then simply turn back to return to your car — a total of 6.6 km round trip, which

    should take approximately 2 hours.
