Charm and Serenity...
Le Vieux Cannet, nestled on the hills, is a true gem of the French Riviera that invites you on a journey through time and senses. This historic district of Le Cannet captivates with its authentic charm and tranquil lifestyle, far from the hustle and bustle of the coast. With its cobblestone streets, colorful facades adorned with wooden shutters, and blooming gardens, Le Vieux Cannet embodies the very soul of Provence.
Wandering through this quintessential Provençal village will lead you to charming discoveries such as the Sainte-Catherine Church and shaded squares perfect for soaking in the friendly atmosphere. Around every corner, you'll find art galleries, artisan workshops, and character-filled boutiques. Le Cannet has also been a source of inspiration for the famous painter Pierre Bonnard, whose work is beautifully showcased at the Bonnard Museum, located in the heart of the village.
The panoramic view from Le Vieux Cannet is breathtaking: you can admire the lush hills, the Bay of Cannes, and even, on clear days, the Lérins Islands. The café terraces and small restaurants invite you to savor local specialties in a warm and authentic setting.
Le Cannet is also a vibrant place, brought to life by Provençal markets and cultural events that fill its streets year-round. If you're seeking a getaway that blends art, history, and tranquility, Le Vieux Cannet is a haven of peace where every street corner tells a story, and every moment invites quiet contemplation.

Town Hall - Mairie du Cannet:
Purchased in 1933 by Mayor Maurice Jeanpierre,
the building was constructed in 1902 by Charles
Grassier to be the Hôtel des Anges. The architect
James Warnery is the author of this construction.
The most visited room is the wedding hall, known
as the Bellini Room. Here, you will find 5 works by
the painter representing the joy of life in Le Cannet.
Bonnard Museum:
This is the only museum in the world entirely dedicated to the work of Pierre Bonnard, a major artist of the Nabi movement. Housed in the former Hôtel Saint-Vianney, this beautiful Belle Époque building was acquired by the city in the late 1990s and later transformed into a museum. It has held the "Musée de France" label since December 2006.
Saint-Sauveur Street - Historic Center:
Nestled in the heart of the historic center of Le Cannet, Saint-Sauveur Street invites you to take a charming walk through time. Lined with pastel-colored facades, art galleries, and restaurants, this picturesque street embodies the authentic
Provencal soul of the town. From the cobbled alleys of Saint-Sauveur Street to the viewpoints of the nearby hills, Le Cannet reveals magnificent panoramas over the Bay of Cannes,
the Lérins Islands, and the Esterel Massif.
Saint-Sauveur Chapel:
Saint-Sauveur Street leads to one of its most emblematic sites: The small Saint-Sauveur Chapel. Restored in 1989 by the famous contemporary artist Tobiasse, the chapel was transformed into an ecumenical space under the theme "Life is a Celebration". Inside, a
monumental, vivid, and poetic fresco tells a universal story, where the church’s choir radiates around a dove, symbolizing peace.
Outside, on the forecourt, the sculpture "The Bird of Light" invites the visitor to enter this artistic and spiritual world.
Ardisson Quarter:
Ardisson Street is one of the discreet but charming arteries of Le Cannet, located on the edge of the historic center. It connects the upper part of the town to peaceful residential neighborhoods,
offering a typically Cannet lifestyle, with old buildings, Mediterranean gardens, and small local shops. It still retains the tranquil and preserved atmosphere that gives the town its charm.
You can feel the douceur de vivre typical of the French Riviera, with the scents of pine and orange trees, dry stone walls, and that special light that Bonnard loved so much.
The Magnificent Views from the Hills of Le Cannet:
From the heights of Le Cannet, the view stretches
over an exceptional panorama: on one side, the
sparkling Mediterranean, the Bay of Cannes, and
the Lérins Islands; on the other, the rolling hills of
the Provencal hinterland, dotted with pines, olive
trees, and cypress trees. The narrow sloping alleys,
sun-drenched terraces, and natural viewpoints offer
superb vistas throughout the walk. These views also inspired many artists, including Pierre Bonnard, who lived in Le Cannet and painted this characteristic light and these wide-open horizons.
